good deal, BB One is never to old to learn. Good luck with your lessons. To this day I never had any kind of computer classes ever. I just learn by pressing buttons until I hit the right ones. Don't even ask how much that has cost me for some of the expensive big mistakes I have made by learning this way, tho.

the goal is simply to get them to teach you how to reinstall your system from a ghosted image, because that is the return point in case things go wrong, also make sure that you never have what you need one storage place be that a USB key, DVD or harddrive(each of which have their weaknesses) so try to cross backup
if they know their stuff the will know what I mean

the goblin somehow knew that Big Bopper was going to have to stumble at some point, that was what everyone did to advance "...the key you are looking for is called control panel, shortened to cpl, to get there one either uses mouse clicking or the runbox..." the goblin continued "...for now use mouse clicking, but at a later stage depending on how far you want to go, the runbox is much quicker..." the goblin felt that big bopper was following "...but the first thing to learn are the hotkey shortcuts since it will make you look like a geek to the people around, imagine navigating your computer, going where you wish to go without once using the mouse..." and suddenly the goblin felt again that big bopper was feeling devious about what he would or wouldn't let on to the teacher that he actually had grasped here

the goblin dropped by in sympathy saying "...the hardest part for someone teaching this stuff to someone else is knowing where that someone else wants to go, the first question is simply that then: "Quo vadis? - Where are you going?"(what do you want from your computer)..." but, since you mention that the probation officer is coming from the court ordered vocational rehabilitation place, meaning probably a 20 year old techy, better answer the question for yourself before he turns up..."

As always well said Goblin
Looks like next week I'm driving to Laguna Hills, Calif to find out what in the blazes I'm doing wrong.
My hour glass is running out of sand. This issue is minor to my overall game plan called life ....... someone I wish to meet

Spent most of last night and this morning trying to figure out what in the world I'm doing wrong and opened a window by mistake WOW problema solved
Just because my Golden Years aren't too far off, I wrote everything I did on paper.
I am Dyslexic and a few years ago, working a telephone cable damage, the cable support broke and I scrambled my brains from a 24 foot fall
Ever since that time concentration has been a problem

but you are still doing well despite that, Booper, and that's what counts.
Speaking of the full screen thing, i accidentally did that to my computer at work last week, fingers got a bit tangled. Took me quite awhile to fix it. That was annoying as all get-out.

to be honest with you, i forget how i got the screen back to normal. i think it was a desperate button mashing mouse clicking moment.

LOL I hear you
Vista is a far cry from Windows Me
I'm suppose to access a Photo Gallery window and for the life of me can't find it. I'm sure the Support and Help group at Allied Schools is tired of my phone calls
