please keep the 25 people at my husbands company who lost there jobs today, hubby was not one of them but this may change as the week passes. As many of you know my husband had to take a long while off work when he had cancer, then his job was downsized and he was out of work for a very long time. He then worked for a company that were so demoralizing he was suicidal. The company he works for now is an amazing place and they treat there workforce with dignity and integrity. they must be so upset to have to do this to these men.

I will certainly be keeping the 25 in my prayers, as well as your hubby and your family. The down side of being one of the people who was not laid off is that in most cases, the company expects those who still have jobs to produce the same amount of productivity as the larger crew did...which is extremely stressful to anyone that has any health difficulties.

{{{HUGS}}} to you, Princess!  praying.gif

My prayers for all of you in these stressful times. I feel stress is an illness itself and is not part of God's plan for us.

I learned something yesterday that made me quite upset and sad. A good friend of our family(whom we didn't hear from over the holidays; thinking we missed him because of all that was going on with my mom) has been diagnosed with a sudden and severe case of Alzheimer's disease. He is only 70 and has been a very active person in our community in both the Boy Scouts, the volunteer fire department, food bank and his church. He stopped showing up for these activities just after Thanksgiving and became very withdrawn and other problems. His oldest son is now caring for him  at home, he is 30 and has 3 small children and a full time job and is a single dad. His son called us the other night with the bad news, I added him and his family to our church's prayer chain and I would like to add him here. His name is Tom and his son is Dave. We are going to his house tomorrow to see what we can do to help them. Prayer is the biggest help and hope we can offer each other.
